Agree on the details
Wait for a response from the artist or studio administrator. Discuss the idea, design, placement and all procedure details.
Confirm your booking
If your application is suitable, agree on a date and time that works for both sides and confirm your visit.
Come to the studio
Visit the selected VEAN studio. The student performs the work under the supervision of an experienced artist, and you receive the service for free.

VEAN Academy students and beginner tattoo artists work on real projects under the supervision of experienced VEAN TATTOO artists and instructors. They oversee the key stages of the process and help ensure the work is performed correctly.
The Academy needs completed works for graduates’ portfolios, and you need a tattoo. It is a fair exchange: you help an artist gain practical experience, dedicate your time, and in return receive a tattoo without paying for the work.

Who is looking for models
Models are needed by two types of artists - both work in studios within the network.
Academy Students
They learn from practising artists within the network. A model is offered not according to a fixed course schedule, but when the instructor sees that the student is ready.
Artists Renting a Workspace
Practising artists who work in VEAN studios under our brand. We verify their portfolio and workspace rental before they start looking for models.

A practising studio artist supervises every stage and steps in whenever needed. The student is never left to work on your skin unsupervised.
Practice comes before real skin
Students don’t start with models from day one. They first complete dozens of hours of practice on synthetic skin, and the design is approved by the instructor before the session.
The same hygiene standards as for paying clients
The same autoclave, single-use needles and sterile materials are used. Training does not mean compromising on hygiene or safety standards.

The tattoo or piercing is performed by a VEAN Academy student as part of their practical training and is provided free of charge. An experienced studio artist supervises the process and oversees the key stages of the procedure.
However, please keep in mind that the work is carried out by a student who is still gaining practical experience. The final result may therefore differ from work performed by an experienced artist, and minor technical or aesthetic imperfections cannot be completely ruled out.
By becoming a model, you confirm that you understand the training nature of the procedure and accept the associated risks.
Yes, the student’s work is free. In some cases, you may be asked to cover the cost of consumable materials used during the procedure. This depends on the specific tattoo or piercing and will be clarified with you in advance.
No. Anything related to payment is discussed before your appointment and will not change once you arrive.
We offer designs that the student is ready to work on at their current level. You can suggest your own design, and we’ll confirm it if the complexity is suitable.
